• It is grown by the tribals of western ghats in the Sahyadri ranges and is a very rich source of Iron. It is single-polished and mildly aromatic rice, excellent for daily use.
• Black Husk Sahyadri Rice attains a slightly sticky mushy texture when cooked. Best suited for making delicious khichdi's, and risottos and can be used to make batter for idli-dosas. Excellent as baby food.
